Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame
Beal was a three-year starter on the baseball team during the early ‘40s, helping the Bombers to a 16-3 record during his career. After IC, he served as Superintendent of Recreation in Poughkeepsie for 34 years. He was one of the founders of the Pop Warner Football League and the Little League Association in his home town. In 1978, he was honored for his 30 years of service to the Pop Warner League. He also served as commissioner of the Eastern New York State American Softball Association. In 1981, the Poughkeepsie Little League Field was named in his honor.
