Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame
Twice named IC “Athlete of the Year”, Terry excelled and was captain of the soccer, wrestling and track teams. He was an All-American 137-pounder, finishing fourth nationally in the College Division in 1969, and was undefeated in dual matches. After graduation, he continued his wrestling prowess, winning five Niagara District AAU championships. A physical education teacher in the Ithaca School District, Habecker coached wrestling, soccer and track. His 1978 IHS soccer team was 26-0, and won its first New York State Class A championship. Twice, he was named Section IV “Coach of the Year”.
