Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame
Ron Gross '90 was a member of two national champion wrestling teams during his Ithaca career and earned All-America honors twice. A fifth-place national finisher at 142 pounds as a junior, he was the NCAA runner-up as a senior, helping the Bombers win the NCAA title each year. Gross, who compiled a career record of 113-41-1 with 47 pins, is one of three Bombers to win four individual conference/regional championships and one of five Ithaca wrestlers to earn all-state honors four times. He ranks fifth in career wins. As a coach, Gross led Rochester Institute of Technology to an eighth-place finish at nationals and coached a two-time NCAA champion.
