One of just nine three-time All-Americans in wrestling history, Kent Maslin was a runner-up at the 1993-94 national championships with an overall record of 18-1. Maslin competed at the 142- and 150-pound weight classes during his career and finished with an overall record of 93-27-2 with 21 victories by fall.
Maslin's second place finish, which came in an 8-7 loss in the title match, in the 93-94 championships led the Bombers to their third team national crown in six seasons. Ithaca totaled 77.75 points, narrowly edging out Wartburg (75 points) in the team standings.
He placed sixth at the 1991-92 nationals with a 26-7 mark and was fifth in 1992-93 at 33-5. Ithaca took eighth as a team in 1992 and fourth in 1993.
Upon his graduation, Maslin ranked 11th all-time in wins and was just one of three grapplers to claim more than one state championship (Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference).
