Dave Pitzer was a two-sport athlete in basketball and football at Ithaca College from 1974-77, and was named the college's Male Athlete of the Year in 1977. On the gridiron, Ithaca went to two Stagg Bowls and compiled a 26-4-1 record with Pitzer in the offensive backfield. In his final two seasons as a running back, Pitzer accumulated nearly 1,600 yards rushing with 17 touchdowns, and was the featured back on the '75 team that ran for 3,100 yards and 36 touchdowns. On the hardwood, he scored 343 points with 186 rebounds in 57 games.
