Carl Graetz was a three-year member of the Ithaca College baseball team and was an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Second Team All-American in 1990. During the national championship season in 1988, Graetz earned three saves in IC's four victories en route to the program's second national title.
Graetz appeared in 40 games during his career on South Hill and amassed a 17-5 record with a 2.99 ERA without committing and error. In his All-American senior season, he spun a 2.36 ERA and ranked second in Division III with a 10-1 record.
Upon his graduation, he was second all-time on the single season wins list and was the program leader in saves. Thirty-five years later, Graetz still ranks within the top eight in both categories.
