Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame
The first member of the men's cross country program to qualify for the NCAA championships, James Quinn '86 is one of only three Bombers to run at nationals all four years at Ithaca. He won individual titles at both the NCAA qualifier and Independent College Athletic Conference races during his cross country career. The three individual school records he set in track and field have stood for more than 15 years. In Ithaca's cross country records, Quinn still shares the school's fastest 6.2-mile time; he ranks third on five-mile courses and fourth on 5.2-mile courses. A six-time state champion in track and field, he received the ECAC Medal of Merit in 1986. As a senior, Quinn helped the Bombers qualify for the first time as a team for the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
