Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame
Jon Heisman was an All-American defenseman for the Ithaca College men's lacrosse program during one of the best stretches in program history. In his final three years with the team, 1978 to 1980, Ithaca reached the NCAA Tournament all three years and compiled 34 victories. Heisman was a captain during all three of those years.
He was named All-ECAC all four years on South Hill and was a USILA Second Team All-American as a senior in 1980.
Heisman would go on to have a distinguished coaching career as he is the all-time winningest boy's high school coach in Pennsylvania with 549 victories. In 2024, Heisman was inducted into the National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Hall of Fame. In 2019, he was inducted into the Eastern Pennsylvania Hall of Fame and his 1992 team was inducted into the Springfield High School Hall of Fame.
