Canton, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's tennis team (3-2) earned its first win of the spring season with a 5-4 win at St. Lawrence (2-2) Saturday afternoon. Double-winners for the Bombers included senior Taylor Borda (West Morris-Mendham/Chester, N.J.) and junior Josh Rifkin (Homestead/Fort Wayne, Ind.), and sophomore Jimmy Newton (Florida Virtual School/Englewood, Fla.).

Borda and Rifkin, Ithaca's nationally-ranked doubles team, won 8-1 at first doubles and each won in singles competition. Newton was a winner at second doubles, and also earned the clinching victory in singles play, with a three-set win at third singles.
