CANTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team saw its first action of the fall season, taking part in the St. Lawrence University Fall Classic. The Bombers cleaned up in singles action, claiming all three singles flights.

Ivan Kisic earned his first tournament win of the season in singles action, dominating Flight A. He opened the Round of 16 with an 8-4 victory over Hobart's Everett Reid before taking down Jesus Alberto, 8-2, and Achilleas Kousaridis, 8-4, en route to the finals. The junior claimed a tight 8-6 win over Haocheng Liu.

Also winning their singles flight was Alex Mazza, who took down Shreyas Kode of Union, 8-6, followed by victories over the University of Rochester's Ethan Samora, 8-5, and Joshua Chu, 8-2, to secure his place in the finals. Mazza took the matchup with Alan Wang, 8-2.

Shivam Udani also took part in Singles Flight A, winning his Round of 16 bout, 8-4, before dropping an 8-2 quarterfinal match.

Manuel Galli took down Preston McCarthy from St. Lawrence in the opening round of Flight B, 8-2, before claiming a 9-7 quarterfinal victory and an 8-5 decision to send him into the final round. The sophomore claimed the win with an 8-3 victory over Roman Ortega Peris from Hobart.

Kisic paired up with Timur Gilmanov in the A Doubles bracket, as the duo battled through to the semifinal round. After receiving a first-round bye, they earned an 8-7 quarterfinal victory over Reid and Kousaridis of Hobart before falling, 8-1.

The pairing of Mazza and Galli, along with Luis Crespo and Udani, also took part in Flight A, dropping their Round of 16 bouts.

IC will look to carry its momentum into next weekend as the Bombers travel to New Jersey to take part in the TCNJ Hidden Dual, which kicks off Friday, Sept. 18, before wrapping up Saturday, Sept. 19.
