ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team utilized The College of New Jersey's Hidden Duals as a tune-up in preparation for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships taking place at Skidmore College this weekend.

The Bombers kicked things off on Friday with convincing wins over the host Lions, going 5-for-7 in singles competition and 2-for-3 in doubles. IC faced stronger competition from New York University on Saturday, coming away with one singles and one doubles victory.

On Friday, Ivan Kisic claimed victory in the first singles slot, taking down his counterpart 6-2, 10-5 after dropping the first set, 2-6. His doubles partner, Timur Gilmanov, claimed the third singles bout, 6-3, 6-4. The pair were also victorious at first doubles, 6-3.

Luis Crespo was also 2-0 on day one, taking down his counterpart in the second slot, 6-3, 3-6, 14-12. He then paired up with Shivam Udani in the second doubles slot for a 6-4 win.

Also victorious in singles competition were Alex Mazza in the fourth slot, 6-1, 6-0, and Manuel Galli at five, 6-4, 7-5.

Despite dropping his match on day one, Mazza rebounded for the team's only singles victory on day two, claiming the fourth slot, 5-7, 7-5, 10-6.

Owning the team's lone doubles win over the Violets were Timur Gilmanov and Ivan Kisic in the first slot, 7-5.

IC will travel to Saratoga Springs on Friday, September 25, for the ITA Regional Championships, taking place from September 25-27, depending on weather.
