2008-09 Statistics
2008-09: Borda was a top player for the Bombers and was named Empire 8 Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and was also named Most Valuable Player of the Empire 8 Tournament. Finished the year with a 16-8 overall singles record and was 16-5 at first doubles in dual matches and was 22-6 in doubles play. He garnered First Team All-Empire 8 honors at both singles and doubles. Borda was Empire 8 Player of the Week for the week ending March 22 after garnering four total wins in wins over Elmira and RIT and on May 30 after capturing MVP honors and winning the clinching point in the Empire 8 championship. He advanced to the semifinals of the top flight doubles bracket with partner Josh Rifkin at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional. Borda and Rifkin were ranked 12th in the Northeast Region doubles rankings by the ITA.
2007-08 Statistics
2007-08: Borda was named Empire 8 Player of the Year and was an All-Empire 8 First Team pick in both singles and doubles after leading the Bombers with 20 singles victories and 18 doubles victories. Borda was 14-6 in dual matches at first singles including a 7-1 record in Empire 8 matches. He was named Empire 8 Player of the Week for the week ending March 16.
2006-07 Statistics
2006-07: Borda was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year after leading the Bombers in singles wins (12), doubles wins (13) and total wins (25). Borda was also named a first-team Empire 8 all-star in singles and doubles. Borda was undefeated in the Empire 8 Tournament, winning all six of his matches to lead the Bombers to their first NCAA Tournament birth. He also won a match in the NCAA Tournament, winning 8-4 at second doubles against Southern Maine.
High School: A 2006 graduate of West Morris-Mendham High School, Borda was coached by Richard Attonito. He was a four-year letter winner and served as team captain. Borda was an all-conference, all-county and all-region performer. He won the county championship and was seeded ninth in the state championship tournament.
Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of Gus and Sarah Borda. His father, Gus, is a 1979 Ithaca graduate.
