SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's crew won its second-straight Liberty League title on Friday afternoon as both the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 claimed victory on Fish Creek. With the win, the Bombers also receive the Liberty League's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The Second Varsity 8 was first up, racing in the Women's Collegiate JV 8 race. The team of coxswain

Lauren O'Dell raced to a winning time of 7:48.270, edging second-place RIT.

The Tigers took second in 7:51.600 while St. Lawrence finished in third in 8:03.163, followed by William Smith with a time of 8:21.698 and Union with a time of 8:40.465.

The Bombers won the field with a time of 7:15.100, nearly five seconds faster than second-place William Smith. The Herons took second in 7:20.619 while St. Lawrence finished third with a time of 7:26.630. RIT came in fourth (7:35.832), followed by Skidmore (7:39.537) and Union (7:58.670).

Ithaca will look to carry its success into tomorrow's New York State Championships in order to claim another back-to-back title. Action kicks off at 8 a.m. and will also take place on Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs.
