2019-2020
Southworth made her debut on the Ithaca Sculling team as coxswain of the Women’s Quad, where she earned a fourth-place finish in the Collegiate Quad at the Head of the Fish (10/26). Southworth also coxed the Women’s Varsity Eight in the Women’s Collegiate Eight race at Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, MA (10/20), earning a fifth-place finish. The spring season was cut short after a week of rowing in Gainesville, GA that concluded with a scrimmage against Penn State and Catholic University. Southworth coxed the First Varsity Eight to a first-place finish.
2018-2019
Southworth was a key contributor as coxswain of the Women’s Second Varsity Eight.She started her season as part of a boat that earned the Liberty League Boat of the Week Honor (4/7) (Second Varsity Eight). She competed in the Second Varsity Eight at the Liberty League Championship in Saratoga Springs, NY (5/3), earning a first-place finish and Team Championship title. At the New York State Championship in Saratoga Springs, NY (5/4), her boat earned a second-place finish in the Second Varsity Eight and contributed to the team winning the Team Points Trophy. She contributed to a first-place finish in the Petite Final at the NIRC Regatta in Worcester, MA (5/12). Southworth led her boat to a first-place finish in the Second Varsity Eight Petite Final and contributed to a fifth-place team finish at the NCAA Championship in Indianapolis, IN (6/1).
2017-18
Southworth primarily rowed in the Women’s Second Varsity Eight during her sophomore campaign. She was a spare for the Fourth-Place finishing team at the 2018 NCAA Championships in Sarasota, Fla. (5/26)... And was part of a boat that was named Liberty League Boat of the Week (4/16)...Was Runner-Up at the Liberty League Championship in the JV Eight in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. (5/4)... And was Third-Place at the New York State Championships (5/5)...Was Forth-Place in the Second Varsity Eight Petite Final at NIRC Regatta in Worcester, Mass. (5/11)...
2016-17
Southworth was a key rower in the Women’s Novice Eight during her Bomber debut. She contributed to a Second-Place finish in the grand final with a time of 7:13.61 at the NIRC Championship, which helped the team winning the NIRC Women's Points Trophy (5/12)... And won her heat at the New York State Championships with a time of 7:25.30 (5/6)...
High School
Southworth attended Glens Falls High School where she earned varsity letters in both field hockey and lacrosse under Michele Venditto. She was a co-captain of the field hockey team her junior and senior year. Southworth was named a Section Two, Second Team All-Star for field hockey her junior and senior year, and for lacrosse her senior year.
