Utica, N.Y. - The Ithaca baseball team racked up two more victories Saturday by winning 12-6 in both games of a doubleheader at Utica on Saturday. The teams will conclude the three-game series with one nine-inning game on Sunday afternoon. The Bombers are 17-4-1 overall and 7-1 against conference foes.

Mike Preite was 4-for-5 at the plate to lift Ithaca to a 12-6 win over the Pioneers in the first game of the doubleheader. He scored four runs and drove in two. Six other Bombers had one hit each, and Ithaca took advantage of six Ithaca errors. The Bombers trailed 4-2 after three innings, but scored five runs in the top of the fourth to take a lead they never relinquished.
Pat Lemmo pitched the complete-game victory. He allowed six runs over seven innings on 10 hits. Lemmo had seven strikeouts and walked just one batter.

Ithaca slugged 19 hits and scored 12 runs in the second game of the doubleheader. Jeffrey Mathers and
Corey Caswell had three hits each. Once again the Bombers used a huge fourth inning to extend a lead. Ithaca scored six runs in the fourth to make the score 9-1.
John Prendergast pitched seven strong innings to get the win. He allowed five runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and two walks.
David Jasukonis and
Andrew Sanders pitched one inning each to close out the win.
