ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College baseball team will make the short trip across town to play Cornell and Cortland in a Round Robin this Sunday, October 18 at Booth Field to raise funds for Racker, a local organization that provides strength-based support for individuals with disabilities and their families in Cortland, Tompkins and Tioga counties.
Racker offers programs and services to more than 3,500 people, supporting people and their families to lead fulfilling lives by providing opportunities to learn and be connected with others.
Three nine-inning games will be played on the day, beginning with Cornell vs. Cortland at 9:30 a.m. The Red Dragons and Bombers will then take the field at 1 p.m., followed by the finale between IC and the Big Red at 4 p.m.
Commemorative t-shirts will be sold at the venue, a 50/50 raffle will be held, and donation jars will be available. All proceeds will support Racker and its mission. Students from Racker will also be involved with activities on the field prior to the first game as well as with attractions and sensory experiences during the games.
