Geneva, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's tennis team (8-2) earned a convincing 8-1 win at Hobart (7-9) Thursday afternoon. The match started outdoors, but players and teams moved indoors for the completion of the action after winds increased and temperatures dropped.

Ithaca swept all three doubles matches to set itself on the way to the victory. The regionally-ranked tandem of senior Taylor Borda (West Morris-Mendham/Chester, N.J.) and junior Josh Rifkin (Homestead/Fort Wayne, Ind.) won 8-3 at first doubles and each won in straight sets in singles play.

The Bombers return to action Saturday and resume Empire 8 play with a match at 4 p.m. against Stevens Institute of Technology at Cornell's Reis Tennis Center.
