SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's rowing team traveled to Saratoga Springs, New York to compete in the Liberty League Rowing Championship. The regatta featured a total of seven teams from across the Liberty League including Skidmore, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), University of Rochester, St. Lawrence University, Union College, and St. John Fisher College.
The Bombers raced in a variety of categories including the men's 1V, 2V and varsity four. With no finals for the men's events, each crew only raced once.
The first race of the day for the Bombers was the first varsity eight. The Bombers went up against Saint Lawrence, RIT, Union, and Skidmore. The IC 1V lineup featured

Riley Maynard,
Jake Lentz,
Wesley Hoglin,
Henry Grant,
Dehron Smith,
Gregg Seiz,
Griffin Hunt, and
Seth Freeman.
In the 1V race, the Bombers took second place, falling to Saint Lawrence. Ithaca finished with a final course time of 6:07.85 behind the Saint's 6:02.16.
Next up for IC was the 2V race. This week's lineup included
Caroline Grass,
Aidan Gardner,
Jonah Alefantis,
James Ross,
Cameron Stanford,
Tristan Dole,
Bryce Williston,
Cameron Strong, and
Caleb Grassi. The Bombers matched up with Saint Lawrence, Union, and two crews from RIT.
The 2V finished in first place and secured gold. The crew finished the race in 6:13.63 compared to the second place RIT finish of 6:15.33.
The last race of the day for the Bombers was the men's varsity four. Joining the Bombers in the category was Skidmore and the University of Rochester. The four lineup featured
Sami Smith,
Ethan Revis,
Calvin LaPierre,
Maxwell Vallino, and
Matthew Doherty.
The four finished in second place behind the Yellowjackets of the University of Rochester. The Bombers went 7:18.92.
All in all, the Bombers had some strong finishes against the rest of the Liberty League. The 2V took first place while the 1V and four took second place.
The Bombers will regroup and remain in Saratoga, New York to compete in the New York State Rowing Championship tomorrow. IC will face off against a wide variety of competition coming from across the state. Racing is slated to begin at 8 a.m. with the first men's race at 8:16 a.m. for the varsity eight.
