Ithaca Men’s Rowing Celebrate Senior Day in Near-Ideal Conditions

4/5/2026 2:00:00 PM

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's rowing continued its spring season on Saturday, hosting Senior Day on the inlet in near-ideal early spring conditions. With calm winds and warm temperatures, the Bombers competed across two sessions, facing Williams in the morning before taking on Liberty League opponent RIT and the University of Rochester in the afternoon.

Varsity 8
The varsity eight encountered early adversity during the morning warm-up, striking debris that resulted in the loss of a skeg. With no significant damage but a necessary hull and lineup change, the Bombers responded with resilience against a strong Williams crew. Williams established an early lead off the start, but Ithaca held contact through the shift to base pace. Williams extended its advantage to a boat length by the midpoint, and while the Bombers continued to press, they ultimately fell by an open water margin.
