ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's rowing team faced off against their Liberty League Rivals from the University of Rochester and RIT.
The second consecutive home weekend for the Bombers offered many different racing opportunities for the team. Many rowers had multiple opportunities to race down the course against different competition.
The race conditions were again great with a sunny sky and temperatures in the mid-40s, and a slight headwind on the racecourse.
The first race for IC featured the men's first varsity eight. The crew for this weekend featured

Jake Lentz,
Wesley Hoglin,
Dehron Smith,
James Ross,
Griffin Hunt,
Gregg Seiz, and
Henry Grant.
The Bombers went head-to-head with the Tigers to start. Ithaca defeated RIT by a comfortable margin and stayed in front for the entirety of the race. The Bombers finished the course in 6:30.6, compared to the Tiger's 6:44.9.
The next boat to race for Ithaca was the men's second varsity eight which went up against the RIT's 2V and novice boats. The boat, for IC, featured

Jonah Alefantis,
Tristan Dole,
Bryce Williston,
Cameron Strong, and
Caleb Grassi.
The Bombers were victorious against the Tigers. The Bombers completed the course in 6:51.6 compared to the opposing 2V's 7:00.0.
Next up for IC was the men's four. The race featured IC and two entries from the University of Rochester, including a novice and varsity crew. The Bombers took second place out of the three boats.
IC finished the course in 8:03.3 behind the Yellowjackets' 7:43.6. University of Rochester's novice boat went 8:29.9.
All in all, it was an extremely successful day of racing for the Bombers as they defeated the competition in all but one event.
Next weekend, the Bombers will honor their seniors at Senior Day as the team will host its final home race of the season. Skidmore College is coming to town. Racing is expected to begin at around 11 am with the ceremony beginning place after the final races.
