SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's crew completed the New York State Championships on Saturday afternoon on Fish Creek.

The first race of the day – Women's Collegiate Eight – had three heats. Ithaca's boat of coxswain

Liza Caldicott placed first in its heat with a time of 6:51.200. Colgate took second in the heat with a time of 6:55.640.

The Bombers then moved on to the Grand Final where they finished second with a time of 6:44.041. Division I Marist claimed victory in 6:42.100 while Hamilton finished third, followed by Colgate, Canisius and Army.

Ithaca's Second Varsity 8 – racing in the Women's Collegiate JV Eight race – finished second behind Division I Marist. The boat of coxswain

The Bombers' Novice 8 boat - coxswain

Izzy Ozkurt,
Maria Caminiti,
Laura Trainor,
Eliza Worth and
Autumn Michels -Â won its heat with a time of 7:34.900, winning by more than 10 seconds, to move on to the Grand Final. Ithaca then won the final race in 7:16.300, narrowly edging Division I Army with a time of 7:16.508.

In the Novice Collegiate Four, Ithaca's boat finished second in its heat, racing to a time of 8:43.344 and qualifying for the Grand Final. The boat of coxswain

Emmy Repetti advanced to finish fourth with a time of 8:39.97. St. Lawrence won the field with a time of 8:04.300 while Army took second in 8:31.164 and US Merchant Marine finished third with a time of 8:34.835.

Mikayla Henry - was victorious in its race, winning with a time of 7:25.930. Hamilton came in behind Ithaca, finishing in 7:27.684.

Ithaca is back in action next Sunday, May 12, at the National Invitational Rowing Championship on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
