ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's crew opened up its 2019 slate on Saturday as the Bombers hosted the Cayuga Duels on the Cayuga Inlet.

The Varsity 8 – coxswain
Jennie Brian,
Savannah Brija,
Sarah Snow,
Lauren O'Dell,
Libby Ryan,
Sierra Keat,
Izzy Ozkurt,
Allison Arndt and
Meredyth Busam – opened the day with a win over William Smith, finishing the course in 6:47.8 to the Heron's 6:52.0. That pushed the Bombers through to the afternoon's Grand Final, where they defeated Canisius with a time of 6:53.7.

June Fortner – posted the top time of 7:07.56 during the morning session to advance to the afternoon's Grand Final. The Bombers went on to win with a time of 6:56.7, defeating Canisius.

In the third round of the day, Ithaca's novice and third Varsity 8 faced off. The 3V8 boat – coxswain

The 3V8 moved on to race in the 2V8 Petite final, defeating William Smith with a time of 7:18.5. The Novice boat raced Johnson and Wales, winning in 7:25.6.

The Bombers are back in action next weekend as they host RIT and Rochester on Saturday, April 7 and St.John Fisher on Sunday. Both races are set to go off at 11 a.m.
