Strong Start
The Ithaca College wrestling team has gotten off to a fantastic start to the 2016-17 campaign. The Bombers have already taken home two team titles during the first month of the season, winning both the Ithaca Invitational and the New Standard Spartan Invite. IC also placed fifth at the New York State Collegiate Championships, its highest finish ever recorded at the event.
 
ECWC Weekly Honors
Ithaca has been well represented in the weekly honors selected by the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference. IC has had three wrestlers take home a total of four awards through the first five weeks of competition. Carlos Toribio and Jake Ashcraft have earned ECWC Wrestler of the Week nods, while Sammy Schneider has taken home ECWC Rookie of the Week twice during the early portion of the season.
 
Recent Matches vs. RIT
Ithaca has dominated the recent series between the two programs, carrying at least a 13-match winning streak against RIT heading into tonight's action. The Bombers' average margin of victory over the stretch has been just shy of 25 points (24.92).
 
Looking Ahead
Ithaca returns to action on Saturday, December 10, when it concludes the 2016 portion of its schedule with a dual meet at Oswego State. Match is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m.
