Biography

2017-18: Ashcraft continued his ascension to one of the most prominent names in the nation in 2017-18...The junior racked up a 41-4 overall record on the year, which included a perfect 16-0 record in duals...Of his 41 victories, 33 came with bonus points, which included a sensational 28 falls...He finished the year with an ECWC Championship and NCAA Mideast Regional Championship at 184-pounds, earning a berth to his first career NCAA Nationals...Ashcraft went on to earn his first All-America honor of his collegiate career with a third-place finish...He ended the year earning the NCAA's Most Dominant Wrestler Award, while he also earned an award for the most pins at the National Championships. | 2017-18 Stats

2016-17: Ashcraft had another outstanding season for the Bombers during his Sophomore season, posting a 30-12 overall record with a 10-4 record in dual meet bouts. Nine of his 30 wins came from decision, while 15 came by fall and one from technical fall. He also recorded four wins by major decision during the season. | 2016-17 Stats

2015-16: Ashcraft had an excellent debut campaign for the Bombers, racking up a 32-9 record, which included a 9-1 mark in dual meet bouts. Of his 32 total victories, 17 came by way of falls, while he also notched five major decisions and one technical fall victory. He placed in three invitational tournaments during the season, which included a fifth-place showing at the NCAA Northeast Regionals. Ashcraft was named ECWC Rookie of the Week three times during the season. He also was named an NWCA Scholar All-American, in addition to appearing on the ECWC All-Academic Team and the Empire 8 President’s List.  | 2015-16 Stats
 
High School: Ashcraft graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake where he earned six varsity letters in wrestling under head coach Steve Jones. He served as a three-time captain of the squad that earned second place at the NYS Championships. Ashcraft also earned two varsity letters in football under head coach Matt Shell.

Personal: Jake, son of Ron and Anne Ashcraft, is an accounting major.
