Rachael Palladino shares Ithaca's freshman scoring record

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca women's soccer team (12-3-1), ranked 22nd by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and 27th by D3soccer.com, tied #28 Skidmore (11-3-3) Saturday afternoon at Carp Wood Field. Ithaca outshot Skidmore 34-7 in the game.

The Bombers took the lead in the 36th minute on a goal from senior forward Winnie Adrien (Blairstown Academy/Selden), her fifth goal of the year. The goal was assisted by freshman forward Rachael Palladino (Lansing/Groton). Palladino leads the Bombers with seven assists on the year and has 27 points. She shares the freshman scoring record at Ithaca with 10 goals and 27 points, set in 2005 by current graduate assistant coach Chelsey Feldman.

Skidmore tied the game in the second half despite being outshot 16-3 in that period. The Bombers had a 3-0 shots advantage over the two overtime periods.

Bomber seniors Adrien, Lauren Koppel (Southside/Rockville Center), Liz Masucci (New Providence/New Providence, N.J.), Emily Mogk (Bozeman/Bozeman, Mont.) and Amy Scheffer (Schalmont/Schenectady) were recognized at their final regular-season home game.
