ITHACA, N.Y. – The United Soccer Coaches announced its All-Region teams on Tuesday, December 2, and Ithaca College standouts
Ali Amari and
Katrina Varnum were named to the All-Region III Third Team.
The honor marks the first All-Region selection for both Amari and Varnum in their collegiate careers.
Amari served as a cornerstone of Ithaca's defensive unit, starting all 18 games and logging 1,502 minutes. She anchored a backline that allowed just eight goals all season, the best mark in the Liberty League. Her efforts also contributed to 10 shutouts, a total that ranked tied for 33rd nationally in Division III.
The Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year,
Katrina Varnum stepped into the starting goalkeeper role and had a breakout sophomore campaign, starting all 18 games and totaling 1,594 minutes in goal. She compiled an overall record of 8-6-4 and finished the year with a Liberty League-best 0.45 goals-against average, .895 save percentage, and nine shutouts, while also totaling 68 saves. She was also chosen as a First Team All-Liberty League honoree.
Ithaca finished the 2025 season with an 8-6-4 record as the Bombers advanced to at least the Liberty League semifinals for the fifth consecutive year.
