SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Ithaca College men's and women's track & field teams competed in their final meet of the season before the NCAA Division III Championships as the Bombers traveled to Pennsylvania for the AARTFC Championships at Susquehanna University on Wednesday and Thursday. Both teams placed 11th as the women earned 27 points and the men scored 26 points.
Martha Kemp-Neilson was the runner-up in the pole vault at 3.80 meters, while
Meghan Matheny placed fourth with a mark of 3.75 meters and
Kennedey Heichel finished in seventh at 3.55 meters.
Ava Fowler placed fifth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 18:04.06, while
Lily Seyfert took fifth in the javelin at 39.88 meters.
Sara Brown was a sixth place finisher in the long jump with a mark of 5.51 meters.
IC's 4x800-meter relay of
Emily Johnson,
Joy Petersen,
Katharine Downey and
Rachel Rose took eighth in a time of 9:44.92.
Dom Mikula won the pole vault in a dominant performance of 5.08 meters, while
Callum Howald and
Robert George tied for sixth at 4.42 meters.
Daniel Hutchinson finished in sixth in the long jump at 6.83 meters, while
Nathaniel Oczkowski placed seventh in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.89 seconds.
Justin Showstead placed sixth in the javelin at 52.85 meters and seventh in the shot put with a heave of 15.49 meters.
The 4x800 relay of
Benjamin Mickool,
Jonathan Sadanaga,
Ben Buffone and
Alex Whatley posted a time of 8:00.39 to finish in eighth place.
