COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team competed in its final meet of the 2026 season on Wednesday and Thursday at the AARTFC Championship hosted by Ursinus College. Ithaca placed 20th overall with 14.5 points.
Ben Buffone accounted for 10 of IC's points as he won the 800-meter run in a time of 1:52.74, which was nearly a half-second faster than the runner up. Buffone sat in sixth after the first lap with a split of 56.25 seconds, but moved into the lead as the only runner to run a sub-57 on the final lap.
Elliott Painting finished sixth in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 32:24.00 and ran the fastest lap of any entry on his final 400 meters with a time of 1:06.34.
Raphael Campanile tied for seventh in the pole vault with a top clearance of 4.56 meters. Campanile was successful on his first try of his first three heights of 4.26, 4.41 and 4.56, but he was unable to clear 4.71.
