RESULTS
BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team competed in its second straight tri-meet of the season, this time at Brockport with Springfield. IC finished third overall with 186.025, while Springfield was a point ahead in second and Brockport won with 190.925.
Ithaca began the meet on bars, which has been the toughest event for the Bombers so far this season. IC finished the routine with 44.300 as only two gymnasts scored over 9.0.
Kaylie Goodwin posted the highest score at 9.275, while
Marlena Bailey finished with 9.075.
Cameryn Nichols scored 8.950, while
Julia O'Sullivan turned in an 8.625.
Grace Montague and
Samantha Nothnagel were next with 8.375 and 8.350.
The Bombers then moved over to beam and scored 46.325.
Emily Kobusky shined during her routine with a 9.725, which was tied for the third-best score of the afternoon.
Caitlin Pellegrino was next in line with a 9.375, while Nichols was awarded 9.300. O'Sullivan also scored over nine with a 9.025 and
Corey Foster landed with an 8.900.
Up next was the floor, which was IC's best event of the day with 48.025. All six gymnasts scored over 9.300, as Nichols was near perfect with a 9.800 to top all 18 competitors.
Skye Cohen earned 9.650, while
Grace Murray scored 9.625. Foster also hit 9.600 after a deduction, while Goodwin and
Nicole Lonski finished things up with 9.350 and 9.300.
IC's meet came to a close on vault as the Bombers earned 47.375. Once again, all six Bombers performed exceptionally well, scoring over 9.250.
Nya Pauldon was tops for IC with 9.550, while Lonski and Nothnagel each received 9.500.
Meghan Bell was just shy of the 9.5 mark with a 9.475. Cohen finished with 9.350 and Goodwin earned 9.250.
The Bombers travel to Springfield next Sunday, February 5 for a 1 p.m. meet.
