RESULTS
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team traveled to Ursinus College on Sunday afternoon for a tri-meet and finished second with a score of 187.300. The College at Brockport won the meet with 188.400 and Ursinus placed third with 184.675.
The Bombers opened the meet on beam and scored their highest mark of the day at 47.625. Four of IC's gymnasts turned in routines over 9.550, led by
Cameryn Nichols, who was awarded 9.850, which set a new school record..
Corey Foster posted the second-highest routine at 9.675, while
Caitlin Pellegrino earned 9.575.
Emily Kobusky received a score of 9.550 and
Zoe Kyriakopoulos had 8.975 and
Kaylie Goodwin received 8.425.
Ithaca then moved over to the floor and was awarded 47.350 for a two-rotation total of 94.975, which was nearly three points ahead of Ursinus and Brockport.
Nicole Lonski was the star on floor with a 9.725, while Nichols earned 9.650. Goodwin posted 9.575 after a .10 reduction, while
Skye Cohen earned 9.350. Foster scored a 9.050 and Pellegrino rounded out the rotation with 8.900.
On the third rotation, IC went to vault. The Bombers received nine-plus from all six gymnasts for 46.750. and still held the lead with 141.725, to 140.325 for Brockport. Lonski was the top performer with 9.550 and Goodwin was close behind at 9.475.
Samantha Nothnagel turned in a 9.325 in her first scoring routine with Ithaca, while
Meghan Bell and
Nya Pauldon each earned 9.200. Cohen notched a routine of 9.150.
Ithaca faltered a bit on bars with 45.575 to finish the meet in second after Brockport turned in 48.075 on vault. Goodwin was the top earner at 9.525 and Kyriakopoulos finished with 9.350.
Marlena Bailey finished her routine with 9.150 and Nichols concluded her meet with 9.100.
Grace Montague also competed for IC and earned 8.450, while Lonski finished off the day with 8.350.
The Bombers travel to Brockport next Saturday for a dual meet.
