ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca College men's crew team faced off against RIT this weekend at home. The longtime rivalry between the Bombers and the Tigers resumed on the Cayuga Inlet for a day of head-to-head racing. The race featured events for both the men's and women's crew teams. The Bombers men's team took part in the varsity eight race as well as the second and third varsity eight races.
The first race of the day for IC featured the men's second varsity eight. The boat featured coxswain
Jared Anderson and rowers
Riley Maynard,
James Ross,
Maxwell Vallino,
Gage Thomas,
Dehron Smith,
Bobby MacInnis,
Jonah Alefantis and
Aidan Gardner. Ithaca completed the race in 6:49.4 compared to RIT's time of 7:07.0 giving the Bombers the first place finish.
Next up on the schedule for the Bombers was the men's varsity eight where the team's top boats went head-to-head. The lineup for the Bombers included

Griffin Hunt,
Wesley Hoglin,
Gregg Seiz,
Henry Grant,
Seth Freeman, and
Steven Van Hoof. The 1V finished with a final time of 6:25.9 taking down RIT who finished the course in 6:35.2.
The final race of the day for Ithaca included the third varsity eight. For both IC and RIT, their lineups included a mix up of both 3V and 2V rowers. The Bomber's 3V went 7:13.7 taking the first-place finish.
The Bombers concluded their weekend of racing having placed first in every race category. The team will turn their attention towards one of the biggest races of the season, the New York State Championships. The regatta will take place in Saratoga, New York, on the 2000-meter race course at Fish Creek.
