Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca College men's tennis team swept the visiting Allegheny College Gators 9-0 in Glazer Arena on Sunday afternoon. The victory takes the Bombers to a perfect 4-0 record to start the season. 
 
Sophomore 
Jacob Wachs, who won the Liberty League's Rookie of the Week distinction this past Monday, headlined the action for Ithaca. In the sixth singles slot, Wachs battled back from being 5-0 down in the second set to take the match 5-7, 7-5, 10-5. 
 
Reigning Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week, sophomores 
Eric Dubilirer and 
Deon Kraft, took home wins in both their doubles and singles matches. In the pair's doubles match-up against Allegheny's Wonjoon Cho and Anton Hedlund, Dubilirer and Kraft saved multiple match points to win 8-7 for Ithaca. 
 
Sophomore 
Nicolas Luis and senior 
Artem Khaybullin notched the most dominant doubles win of the afternoon in the third spot, taking down opponents Nate Chubb and David Salazar 8-0. 
 
Wachs and doubles partner 
Minos Stavrakas recorded another doubles win for the Bombers, defeating Allegheny's second doubles team 8-4. 
 
Nicolas Luis grabbed the first singles win for Ithaca in the first slot, dispatching Allegheny's Cho in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0. 
 
After dropping the first set 4-6, Stavrakas came back to seal the team win at second singles. The graduate student took the second set 6-2 and the super tie-breaker 10-6. 
 
Dubilirer recorded another straight sets win in the fourth singles slot, taking down the Gators' Adam Shinomiya 6-2, 6-4. 
 
Liberty League singles honoree Kraft grabbed his fourth straight singles victory against Allegheny 6-2, 7-5 to add another win to Ithaca's tally. 
 
At fifth singles, Khaybullin defeated Allegheny's Chubb in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. 
 
Next up, Ithaca will travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for the team's spring break trip next week. The Bombers will take on Nichols College for the first match of the trip on Sunday, March 13.
