Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. -Â The Ithaca College men's tennis team defeated Rochester Institute of Technology, 5-4 in an intense battle on Saturday afternoon at Cornell University's Reis Tennis Center. The Bombers posted one doubles win and four in singles to secure the victory. With the win, IC now improves to a 2-0 record so far this season.Â
The Bombers were down 2-1 after doubles action, but battled their way back winning four out of the six singles matches.

Deon Kraft notched wins in both their singles and doubles matches to top the visiting Tigers. Â

Minos Stavrakas and sophomore
Jacob Wachs finished the first doubles match for the Bombers in the second slot, falling to RIT's Joel Pho and Carter Casimir 8-6.Â

The doubles pairing of Dubilirer and Kraft took home the lone doubles win for Ithaca, besting Tiger opponents Jake Woluicki and Jacob Meyerson 8-6.Â

Artem Khaybullin and sophomore
Nicolas Luis lost to RIT's Grahith Movva and Christian Berko 8-7 (7-3) in the third and final doubles match of the afternoon.Â

Nicolas Luis secured the first singles win for Ithaca at the top slot in three sets over Tiger opponent Berko. After taking the first set 6-0, Luis Vega dropped the second 6-4 to Berko. The sophomore battled back to take the final set dominantly at 6-1.Â

Dubilier notched the second singles win for IC in the third slot, defeating RIT's Wolicki in another three set thriller, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.Â

Stavrakas dropped his second match of the day to the Tiger's Movva in the second singles slot. The graduate student took the first set 6-4 but was unable to keep the momentum going, dropping the second set 7-6 (7) and the third 6-2.

In the fourth singles spot, Khaybullin fell to RIT's Pho in straight sets, 7-6 (2), 6-4.Â

Kraft claimed the most dominant win for the afternoon for the Bombers in the fifth singles slot, crushing Tiger's Chang in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. Â

Wachs finished the match on a high note for Ithaca, taking down his opponent, RIT's Meyerson, 7-6, 6-3 in the sixth and final singles slot. His victory specifically put IC up 5-4 over RIT.

Next up, the Bombers will host SUNY Oneonta in Glazer Arena for it's third match of the season next Saturday, March 5. Match time is slated for 2 p.m.Â
