Jimin Woo of the Ithaca College men's tennis team competed in the first day of action at the 2022 ITA Northeast Regional on Friday, September 30 hosted by Drew University.
Luis opened the singles main draw with a win over Scranton's Patrick O'Mara. He won the first set by a score of 6-1 and the second 6-2 to advance to the next round. Luis fell to Hobart's Nick Fischer in two sets, losing 6-3 and 6-4.
Dubilirer also competed in the singles main draw, falling to New Jersey City's Nico Teynie 6-2 and 6-1.
Luis and Woo teamed up in the doubles main draw, defeating Union's Ben Jacobs and Aidan O'Brien 8-7 in extras in the first round. The duo fell in the next round, 8-1, to a top eight seed in the draw in RPI's Max Safanov and Igor Visnevskij.
Day Two of the tournament will be held on Saturday and include the third round and quarterfinals of the singles main draw and the quarterfinals and semifinals of the doubles main draw. All matches will be held in the Simon Forum in the event of inclement weather.
