CANTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team hit the courts for the first time of the 2021 season on Saturday where they competed in the first day of the St. Lawrence Fall Classic. The Bombers concluded the afternoon with one doubles team remaining in contention and several other individuals competing in the back draw portion of the event.
In "B singles" 
Eric Dubilirer was victorious in his first-round matchup over the University of Rochester's Adrian Zhang with the sophomore picking up an 8-3 win. He was then defeated by Hobart College's Thomas Shung in his next matchup.
The dynamic duo of 
Artem Khaybullin and his partner remain in contention for the "B doubles" title after they won their opening round matchup 8-5, then beat a two-some from Hamilton College by an 8-4 score and will now play in the quarterfinals on Sunday.
Minos Stavrakas was successful in his first back draw match defeating opponent Nathan Turtledove by a highly attested 8-6 final. 
Tyler Del Zoppo will also compete on Sunday after winning his draw back by an 8-2 score. In a very competitive matchup, 
Max Sobel won 8-7 defeating Ryan Zeien in extras.
Action is set to resume tomorrow morning from the St. Lawrence University campus with the matches slated to resume beginning at 8:30 a.m.
