RESULTS
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The nationally ranked No. 24 Ithaca College men's track & field competed in a tri-meet hosted by RIT on Friday afternoon, which also included the University of Rochester.
Luke Tobia won the hammer throw with a heave of 50.08 meters and prevailed in the shot put at 14.19 meters.
Dom Mikula won the pole vault with a school record clearance of 5.11 meters.
IC's 4x100-meter relay squad of
Akap Takor,
Samuel Panzer,
Jordyn Harrigan and
Jalen Leonard-Osbourne won by more than a second with a time of 42.48 seconds.
Leonard-Osbourne won the 100-meter dash in 10.78 seconds, while
Aaron Davis finished second in a time of 11.43 seconds.
Zachary Wachs secured first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.64.
Aaron Davis was a winner in the 200-meter dash in 23.14 seconds, while Harrigan was third at 23.65 seconds and Takor finished fourth in a time of 23.94 seconds. Panzer secured sixth at 24.07 seconds.
Jacob Lange took first in the steeplechase with a time of 9:43.19, while
Patrick Bierach finished as the runner-up in 9:53.11.
Alex Whatley placed fourth in 10:32.72, while
Callum Howald and
Brendan Sheehan tied for fifth in the pole vault at 4.40 meters.
In the 1500-meter run,
Chris Singer came in second at 4:06.68,
Stephen Malenowski finished third in 4:10.52,
Joshua Endy was fourth at 4:11.56,
Timothy Cook clocked in at 4:16.91 to place sixth and
Ryan Medeiros took eighth at 4:18.22.
Zachary Woodruff clocked a time of 1:00.51 in the 400-meter hurdles to place third, while
Hunter Stuart finished fourth in 1:02.72 and
Nicholas Reyes was fifth at 1:03.51.
Daniel Monchek measured out 6.55 meters in the long jump to take fourth overall.
Ian Ertel was a runner-up in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.70 seconds, while Jon Sadanaga and
Ryan Bieber were sixth and seventh in the 800 with times of 2:04.59 and 2:05.17.
Samuel Ives placed fifth in the 5000-meter run in 16:55.17.
Spencer Whitmore finished second in the triple jump at 12.82 meters and posted a mark of 6.17 meters in the long jump to come in seventh overall.
Ithaca entered two teams in the 4x400-meter relay and they finished in third and fifth. Woodruff, Wachs,
Nathaniel Oczkowski and
Conor Ryan were third in a time of 3:35.95, while Stuart, Sadanaga, Reyes and
Alec Hofer took fifth at 3:50.96.
Robert Greenwald cleared 1.85 meters in the high jump, while
Gabriel Khalife was fifth at 1.70 meters.
Justin Showstead came in fifth in the discus at 37.77 meters, while Sheehan followed in sixth with a mark of 36.42 meters. Showstead was fifth in the hammer with a mark of 49.42 meters and finished second in the javelin at 45.16 meters.
Ithaca will send more competitors to Cortland on Sunday.
