Day 2 Results

GENEVA, N.Y. – Competing at the 2021 ITA Northeast Regional at the Hobart William Smith Tennis Center, the Ithaca College men's tennis team was back in action on Saturday. There were beautiful conditions all day long as it turned out to be a perfect fall day for tennis.

In singles competition, the Bombers had Nicolas Luis and Minos Stavrakas competing in the consolation matches. Stavrakes built momentum early and was victorious over Union College's Aidan O'Brien by an 8-3 score. Luis wasn't able to build off of his solid day on Friday as he was downed by Adam Heilbronner of St. Lawrence University in a back-and-forth match, 8-5.

The duo of Eric Dubilirer and Nicolas Luis were back in the second round of the doubles draw and unfortunately, they were upended on Saturday afternoon. They dropped an 8-1 decision to Alper Kulturel and Noah Williamson from Skidmore College.

The ITA Northeast Regional was the final event that the Bombers will compete in during the fall portion of their 2021-22 schedule. IC will return to action in February when they host Wilkes University. The non-league clash will be the be on the Ithaca College campus on Saturday, February 19.
