For the first time this spring, Ithaca paved the way to its first victory with a strong double session that set the tone for the day. The Bombers earned victories in both of the first and second lineup slots, taking a lead out of doubles for the first time in six matches to begin the season. Seniors Colten Lavery and Liam Spiegel got the day going, earning Ithaca's first team point in an 8-4 win over Leonid Sorkin and Andrew Lai in the first-singles slot. Senior Sam Fried and junior George Lomas followed shortly after with an 8-5 triumph over Joey Bolanos and Jordan Haber in the second-doubles clash. First-year Max Sobel and sophomore Artem Khaybullin also competed well in the third-doubles slot, but Dickinson salvaged one point from the session with Thomas Griffin and Vincent Tover Dias earning a narrow 8-6 win.

Ithaca's 2-1 lead evaporated during the first half of the singles session. Although Fried opened the margin to 3-1 in team race when he bested Andrew Lai 6-2, 6-3 in the third-slot, the Red Devils earned wins in both the first-singles and fifth-singles slots. Bryce Perritt defeated IC's Khaybullin 6-4, 6-2 in the fifth slot to shave the IC lead to 3-2, while the match was leveled at 3-3 after Leonid Sorkin's 6-3, 6-4 win over Colten Lavery in the first slot. The Red Devils then pulled ahead for the first time on the day when Jordan Haber snatched a 6-3, 6-3 win over first-year Max Sobel in the sixth slot.

Much like the women's match, the Bombers answered the bell down the stretch with two wins to notch the team win. Spiegel got the comeback charge started with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Joey Bolanos in the second-singles matchup. Lomas then completed the comeback, continuing his strong play this spring with a thrilling win in the fourth slot. The first set of that deciding matchup against Thomas Griffin was very tight, as Lomas outlasted Griffin 7-3 in a tiebreaker. The IC junior rode the momentum into a dominant performance in the second set, winning by a 6-1 margin to close out the day.

Ithaca will be back in action on Friday, March 13, when it closes out its Spring Break trip against Bentley at 8:00 a.m.
