ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's crew swept RIT and Rochester on Saturday morning on Cayuga Inlet.
 
The 2000 meter course was flat with no current during the Varsity 8 race, had a slight headwind for the second Varsity 8 which picked up during the Novice 8.
 
IC opened the day up with a win in the second Varsity 8 race. IC's 2v8 – coxswain Olivia Southworth, Dania Bogdanovic, June Fortner, Allison Ritting, Greta O'Hara, Kelly Csernica, Nicola Vigliotti, Liza Caldicott and Ella Sarachan – won the field with a time of 7:23.9.
 
RIT's boat raced to second place with a time of 7:33.5, while the Bombers' 3v8 took third. The boat of coxswain Michele Hyland, Devi De Oliveria, Sophie Westfield, Noa Covell, Samantha Spisak, Haana Suero, Kiera Peterson, Leighanne Sullivan and Mikayla Henry raced to a time of 7:55.1.
 
In the Varsity 8 race, Ithaca's boat of coxswain Jennie Brian, Savannah Brija, Sarah Snow, Libby Ryan, Izzy Ozkurt, Mackenzie Morean, Sierra Keat, Allison Arndt and Lauren O'Dell won the field with a time of 7:02.02. RIT took second in 7:12.8 while Rochester finished third with a time of 7:45.9.
 
Finally, in the final race of the day, the women's Novice 8, Ithaca's team of coxswain Emily Lighthall, Edie McRoberts, Kelsey Lavin, Cyerra Adams, Laura Trainor, Maria Caminiti, Autumn Michels, Emmy Repetti and Erin Traut posted a time of 8:06.6 to take first.
 
RIT finished in second with a time of 8:30.1, edging Rochester which finished third in of 8:31.1.
 
Ithaca is back in action tomorrow morning with a race against St. John Fisher, SUNY Geneseo and Nazareth. The day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the women's Varsity 8.
