PENNINGTON, N.J. – The Ithaca College men's tennis team dropped its fourth non-conference contest of the spring on Saturday afternoon, falling to 30
th-ranked The College of New Jersey in a 7-2 decision. The loss drops IC to 6-4 on the season.
The Bombers won two decisions during the singles portion of the competition. Senior
Wes Davis scored his second victory of the week, blowing past TCNJ's Jack August in a 6-3, 6-2 straight-sets decision. The win was the sixth of the year for Davis.
Ithaca's other win came in the fourth flight as freshman
Max Prestwich defeated the Lions' Chris D'Agostino in a hard-fought two-set battle. IC's rookie outlasted D'Agostino 7-6, winning the tiebreak, to take the opening set. He rolled to an easier 6-2 triumph in set number two to add a second team point for the Bombers.
