ONEONTA, N.Y. – The No. 4 Ithaca College wrestling team continued to steamroll through its dual-meet schedule on Saturday afternoon when it hit the road for the Oneonta Quad-Meet, hosted by Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) foe SUNY Oneonta at G. Hal Chase Gymnasium. Ithaca won all three duals on the day by comfortable margins, conceding just five of the 30 total bouts. The victories improve IC's record to 10-2 in dual meets on the year with two dates left before the NCAA East Regional.

Ithaca opened the day with a convincing victory over Wesleyan. The Bombers picked up victories in eight of 10 bouts, while they scored bonus points in four matchups and added another six points with a forfeit in the 285-pound bout.

Ithaca's most dominant performance of the day came during its middle match against quad-meet host SUNY Oneonta. Ithaca won nine of 10 bouts, scoring bonus points in seven of them in blowing past the Red Dragons for a 47-3 victory.

IC bounced out to an early 12-0 lead in the match on the strength of pin-falls by Kaishian and Mase at 125-pounds and 133-pounds, respectively.

The 141-pound bout was one of just two in the match that IC did not secure bonus points; however, Wahba executed his defensive style to perfection in a 6-2 decision. The other came at 174-pounds when White won an 8-5 decision over Ryan Marszal.

The Bombers picked up pin-falls by Schneider at 149-pounds, Velez at 165-pounds, Toribio at 197-pounds, and O'Brien at 285-pounds en route to the convincing victory. Ashcraft also added a 21-6 technical fall at 184-pounds.

Ithaca rounded out the day's action against a NESCAC foe in Williams College. Like the Wesleyan match, the Bombers won eight of 10 bouts to win the dual by an identical 37-6 score.

Kaishian capped his 3-0 day with a 9-3 decision at 125-pounds. Freshman
Tito Colom upped the lead to 8-0 with a 23-5 technical fall at 133-pounds.

Although Wahba was upset by Bndon Seyfried in a tight 3-2 decision at 141-pounds, Schneider answered with his third bonus-point win of the day in an 18-2 technical fall. Sophomore
Jawan Jones extended the lead to 16-3 with a 5-1 decision in his lone bout of the day against Dylan Millson at 157-pounds.

Velez capped a 3-0 day at 165-pounds with a 16-0 whitewash of a technical fall against Gabriel Corrochano to put Ithaca on the brink of clinching the match. White scored the match clincher for the second time on the day with a 20-8 major decision at 174-pounds.

Toribio and O'Brien put the exclamation point on the match with back-to-back first-period falls at 197-pounds and 285-pounds, respectively.

Ithaca returns to action on Friday, February 10, when it welcomes nationally-ranked Wilkes to Ben Light Gymnasium in the final home dual of the season. Action is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
