PITTSFORD, N.Y. —The Ithaca College men's tennis team claimed its Empire 8 conference opener over St. John Fisher College Sunday afternoon by a 7-2 score.

The Bombers (4-3, 1-0 Empire 8) won five of six singles matches and took two of three doubles matches to win their conference opener.

Senior
Chris Hayes and juniors
Brandon Buksbaum and
Nate Wolf won their singles and doubles matches for the Bombers.

Hayes earned a 6-4, 6-0 win at second singles to remain undefeated in singles play this year in dual matches, while Wolf secured a 6-2, 6-1 win at fourth singles, and Buksbaum prevailed 6-0, 6-1 at fifth singles for Ithaca.

Junior
Wes Davis added a 6-4, 6-0 win at third singles, while sophomore
Lorenzo Viguie-Ramos prevailed by a 6-1, 6-3 score at the sixth flight.

In doubles action, Hayes and freshman
Michael Gardiner earned an 8-5 victory at the second flight, while Wolf and Buksbaum secured an 8-2 win at third doubles to power IC.

The Bombers host Stevens Institute of Technology at 12 p.m. April 9.
