ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College men's tennis team fell by a 5-0 score to No. 22 Stevens in the championship match of the 2015 Empire 8 Men's Tennis Championships on Sunday, May 3 at the Wheeler Tennis Courts. Stevens won its sixth consecutive Empire 8 title. Ithaca has been in the championship match all 13 years that the conference has conducted a men's tennis tournament, and Ithaca has won five titles in that span. The Bombers finished their season with a 10-8-1 dual-match record. Stevens improved to 19-5 and earned automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships.
The Ducks swept the doubles matches by scores of 8-3, 8-2 and 8-2 and closed out the dual-match victory with wins at fourth singles and sixth singles. Ithaca led the match at third singles.
