HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Ithaca College men's tennis team won five of six singles matches and that keyed a 6-3 win over Bloomsburg on Monday afternoon at Bluffton High School in South Carolina. The victory improved Ithaca's record to 2-2-1 on the season and Bloomsburg is 1-2.

Ithaca trailed 2-1 after doubles play with the victory coming from Chris Hayes and Lorenzo Viguie-Ramos at second doubles.

The Bombers were down 3-1 early in singles play after Bloomsburg won a match by injury retirement, but Ithaca won the remaining five singles matches. Brandon Buksbaum started the streak with a 7-5, 6-0 win at sixth singles and was followed by Hayes with a 6-3, 6-0 win at third singles that tied the team match. Ithaca closed things out with wins by Nate Wolf, Wes Davis and Jack Melhorn.

Ithaca's next match is Wednesday against Carroll University.
