ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College men's tennis team played its first dual match of the season Tuesday evening and fell 7-2 to visiting Hamilton. The match began outdoors at the Wheeler Tennis Courts and was then moved indoors to Glazer Arena about halfway through the doubles matches as a thunder and lightning storm moved through the area. Ithaca is 0-1 on the year, while Hamilton improved to 4-0.

The first doubles match was closely played in the early going, and Ithaca took control when it moved indoors as the duo of Jack Melhorn and Wes Davis won 8-4 over Hamilton's team of Austin Lokre and Max McKee-Proctor. Melhorn went on to win 6-4, 7-5 at first singles.

That concluded the competitive portion of the fall schedule for the men's tennnis team, who returns to action in February with a dual match at Rochester.
