GENEVA, N.Y. -- Wes Davis and Jack Melhorn of the Ithaca College men's tennis team won first-round matches at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regionals, hosted by Hobart. Each then fell in the second round of the singles bracket. In the opening round, Davis defeated Thomas Butschi of Drew 6-0, 6-1. Melhorn was a three-set winner over Lucas Pickering  of Skidmore by scores of 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 10-8 in the first round.

In the doubles bracket, Davis and Melhorn lost 8-5 in the first round to Tristan Wise and Sherman Uyeno of Rensselaer.

The men's tennis team concludes the fall portion of its schedule with a dual match against Hamilton at home on Sept. 30.
