Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College field hockey team defeated Oneonta Wednesday evening, dropping the Red Dragons by a score of 2-0 at Higgins Stadium. The win pushes Ithaca's record to 2-3 on the season, with an undefeated mark of 2-0 at home.

Danielle Coiro and
Natalie Lynch, while sophomore goalkeeper
Katie Lass made nine saves for her second shutout of the season. Â

Ithaca struck first in the 23rd minute, giving the Bombers a 1-0 advantage. Sophomore
Colleen Keegan-Twombly sent a pass through the goal mouth, where Coiro was waiting to tip home her second goal of 2014. Neither team scored in the remaining minutes of the opening frame, sending the game to the half at 1-0.

Just over three minutes into the second, Ithaca scored again to pull ahead, 2-0. Junior
Caitlin O'Brien sent a pass across the top of the circle, connecting with Lynch on the near side. Lynch sent a long shot through a group of bodies in front, sneaking the ball past the Oneonta goalkeeper and inside the far post.

Oneonta pressured Ithaca for the remainder of the half, but Lass and the Bomber defense held the Red Dragons off the board for the 2-0 victory.

The Bombers hit the road for their next contest, facing off against St. John Fisher on Sept. 20. Game time is set for 11 a.m. Â
