ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College baseball team swept the Utica Pioneers to extended their winning streak to 18 games. The Bombers scored 21 runs on the day to defeat the Pioneers 13-3, and 8-2 Sunday afternoon at Freeman Field. Ithaca was the visiting team in the games although the games were played at their home field. The Bombers return to play on Tuesday in Rochester for a non-conference game against the Yellowjackets beginning at 6 p.m.

Box Score and Play-by-Play
The Bombers used four hits to score five runs in the top of the first inning.
Christian Brown doubled to start the game and scored one batter later when
Tim Locastro singled to left field. Locastro then stole second and scored on an RBI single by
Colby Gee. Senior catcher
Corey Caswell then doubled to right center to score
Tim Henry, who had walked, and Gee to make the score 4-0. Caswell later scored on a fielder's choice to complete the five-run first.
Ithaca continued the scoring attack in the fourth inning when the first three batters of the inning singled. Brown led the inning off with a single to center field, and was followed by a single by Locastro. Henry then singled down the left field line to score Brown. Locastro and Henry later scored on a walk by Caswell and a fielder's choice by
Max Addy.
The Bomber offense notched their second five-run inning of the day in the fifth.
Luke Stark and
Andrew Turner both singled to left field to start the inning. After a
Christian Brown walk, Locastro singled down the left field line scoring Stark and
Cameron Oathout who had pinch run for Turner. Brown later scored when freshman
Stephen Yanchus reach on a fielding error by the third baseman. With two outs,
Kevin Primm made the score 13-2 with a two-run single up the middle scoring Locastro and Yanchus.
The Bombers tallied 14 hits in the game. Locastro had a team best three hits, three runs batted in, and scored three runs. Brown and Primm also had two hits in the contest. Caswell had three RBIs.
Jimmy Wagner started the game on the mound and earned the win for Ithaca to improve to 7-0 on the season. Wagner went five innings, giving up two runs on five hits, and striking out two. Freshman
Brandon Diorio finished the final two innings for the Bombers, giving up just one run and striking out three.

John Prendergast pitched a complete game for the Bombers bringing a no-hitter into the bottom of the last inning. He gave up two runs on two hits, and struck out three.
Ithaca used three hits in the second to jump out to an early 3-0 lead.
Corey Caswell used a bunt single to lead off the inning and was immediately followed by a single up the middle by
Max Addy.
Brian Burns then reached on a fielder's choice to load the bases. An RBI single down the right field line by
Luke Stark gave the Bombers an early 1-0 lead. With the bases still loaded, a fielder's choice by
Cameron Oathout scored Addy to make it 2-0. A two-out walk to
Christian Brown loaded the bases and another walk to
Tim Henry scored Burns to complete the scoring in the second.
The Bombers added to their lead in the fourth when Oathout and Locastro were both hit by pitches to start the inning. After Henry walked to load the bases junior
Colby Gee hit a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Oathout making the score 4-0. The Ithaca offense remained at bay until the sixth when Brown reached on an error, Locastro was hit by a pitch, and Henry walked to load the bases with no outs. Gee then singled down the left field line to score both Brown and Locastro. Addy later singled up the middle to score Henry and Gee and increase the Bomber lead to 8-0.
