ITHACA, N.Y. – One Ithaca wrestler notched a milestone victory and the fifth-ranked Bombers (12-2) completed a weekend sweep of ranked opponents with a 34-9 win over #23 Delaware Valley (8-10) Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Seth Ecker recorded his 100th career win with an 8-1 decision at 133 pounds. He became the 18th Ithaca wrestler to achieve the 100-victory mark, improving to 100-20 as a Bomber, including 22-4 this season (12-1 in duals). After a scoreless first period, the third-ranked
Ecker took a 3-0 lead after the second and built a 7-0 cushion early in the third.
Senior
Derek Brenon provided another highlight in the match by scoring an upset win over a Delaware Valley opponent who came in ranked fifth at 157 pounds.
Brenon got an early takedown and forced a pin just 1:01 in the bout. With his sixth fall of the season, he improved to 11-4 and 55-13 for his career.

Alex Gomez also scored pins for Ithaca.
Mahon built a 10-5 lead in the 285-pound bout before getting his 11th pin of the season at 6:17. He upped his season mark to 21-7 and now stands at 86-33 in his career.
Gomez led the 141-pound bout led before getting the fall with 12 seconds left in the second period.
Gomez, who is also ranked eighth, improved to 13-7 with four falls this season.

Jules Doliscar stayed undefeated in dual-meet competition with an 8-0 major decision at 174 pounds. With his fourth major decision of the season, the top-ranked
Doliscar is now 28-3 (13-0 in duals).
Junior
Rick Gomez, who's ranked eighth nationally, opened the match with a 7-1 decision at 125 pounds, upping his season mark to 15-7.
Graduate student
Nick Sanko and sophomore
Shane Bartrum also notched decision wins.
Sanko won the 165-pound bout by a 8-2 score to improve to 12-2 (10-1 in duals). He is now 48-21 as a Bomber.
Bartrum battled for a 5-3 decision at 197 to even his season and career records at 9-9 and 24-24.
The dual-meet victory was Ithaca's second straight over Delaware Valley and fourth in a row this season. The Bombers next travel to Wilkes for a 7 p.m. match on Friday. Ithaca then hosts rival Cortland for senior night on February 15.
