Ewing, N.J. - The Ithaca men's tennis team (6-4) fell 8-1 at The College of New Jersey (7-4) in a meeting between regionally-ranked teams Saturday at TCNJ. The Lions are ranked 13th in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association while the Bombers are ranked 17th in the region.

Ithaca's victory came at first singles in a pairing of two players ranked by the ITA. Ithaca senior Josh Rifkin (Homestead/Ft. Wayne, Ind.) was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over TCNJ's Jeremy Eckardt. Rifkin is ranked 18th in the Northeast among singles players and Eckardt is ranked 22nd.

The Bombers have a quick turnaround and a busy Sunday on the docket with a 9 a.m. dual match at Cornell followed by a home dual at 1 p.m. against Utica.
